There are people who leave behind more than memories. They leave behind the way we see the world.

My dad, Robert Korompis, was one of those people.

He believed in entrepreneurship and in building things that create lasting value. He taught me that the best investments aren't measured only by financial returns, but also by the time we give, the relationships we nurture, the positive impact we leave behind, and the opportunities we create for others.

Above all, he taught me to leave every place, and every person, a little better than I found them.

Some of my favorite memories are the everyday drives we shared together. Whether we were heading home, running errands, or simply making our way through the day, our conversations often drifted to life, philosophy, business, and people. Looking back, I realize those ordinary moments became the foundation for the way I think, the values I try to live by, and ultimately the company we are building today.

Although he never had the chance to see Spendifique launch, he knew I was building it. He was proud that I had chosen to build something that could help others, and even prouder that I had taken to heart the lessons he spent a lifetime teaching me.

I wish we had the chance to say goodbye. I wish he could have watched his grandson grow and celebrate the milestones that have filled our lives since then.

Those are moments I will always miss sharing with him.

But every day I have the opportunity to pass on the lessons he gave me, whether through my family, the people I meet, or the company we are building.
